Perplexity’s CEO talks up AI agent advertising

When I heard what Perplexity CEO Arand Srinivas said about AI agents and advertising recently, I realized that we all need to pay more attention to what Perplexity and other AI companies are doing. What we're seeing now is only the tip of the iceberg.

"That whole advertising economy ... all of that happens without the human user ever having to see an ad,’ he said. He was talking generally about how agent-based advertising could work, but I know from experience that if someone is starting a conversation about something, then it’s quite likely their company is working on it.

My advice: work quickly.
